- PublicaciónRestringidoDeterminación Invitro del efecto Antimicrobiano del gel elaborado a base de Aloe vera y Canela sobre Staphylococcus Aureus y Escherichia Coli.(Cúcuta: Universidad de Santander, 2017, 2017-06-22) Rosas Rosas, Briny Julieth.; Bautista Torres, Paola Andrea.; Diaz Castañeda, Claudia-Elizabeth; Contreras Rangel, Jael.Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli have been considered as pathogens causing foodborne diseases. In the search for a possible solution of its propagation, it is proposed the use of Aloe vera and cinnamon for the production of an antibacterial gel as a possible bactericidal agent. Aloe vera, has great benefits and uses, is nowadays used in medicine and cosmetology as well as in the food industry, such as the treatment of microbial infection showing that it could have been exploited as an antimicrobial agent powerful. Cinnamon is considered to be a powerful antibacterial. To verify the effect of Aloe vera and Cinnamon as bactericidal agent on Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) at different concentrations of Aloe vera and Canela on S. aureus and E. coli was determined by applying the diffusion method in the mouse that performed the dilutions of 101-10-10-10 for each of the treatments and control. Where 10μL was deposited with a calibration of each treatment on Mueller Hinton agar previously inoculated with E. coli and S. aureus.
