It is demonstrated that the construct "body image" is involved in this disorder, which means that dissatisfaction and distortion of the body's own image is partially responsible for eating disorders. The present study is a narrative review where the PICO mnemonic is used where the components of a research question with this format format are the following: P: Type of patient or health problem. I: Intervention, C: Alternative to the intervention to be assessed, O: results expected to be obtained as a result of the intervention. The objective of the narrative review is to identify, analyze, evaluate and interpret the body of knowledge on a specific topic, in this case the family factors associated with eating disorders in adolescents. This project shows that there are undetermined risk factors present in adolescence, where young people believe that diets are repetitive and inadequate violent exercises that positively influence their years as the disorders that cause anorexia and bulimia; these factors or psychopathological behaviors inadolescence represent warning signs of which correspond measures of concrete and viable actions.
