Thus have established a series of interventions that address this phenomenon in pregnancy through the preparation for motherhood in order to provide tools for expectant mothers to cope with the process of birth. OBJECTIVE: Evaluating nursing interventions the preparation of the management of acute pain associated with the different stages of labor in pregnant women in a health center of Bucaramanga. METHODOLOGY: Quasi-experimental study with a comparison group. All subjects received the same interventions and evaluated later. RESULTS: Sociodemographic characteristics, both the control and experimental group, most maternal socioeconomic belong to one, and are in union. The median maternal age in the control group is 24 and experimental 21. The reason why not attends a preparation course for motherhood was not for lack of time. CONCLUSIONS: We found that the experimental group achieved maternal lower levels of pain, achieved greater pain management during labor that maternal control group by using techniques for this purpose.
