- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoPlaneación estratégica Colegio Nuestra Señora Del Rosario de Bucaramanga(Bucaramanga : Universidad de Santander, 2014, 2014-01) Velosa Huertas, Martha L.; Acevedo Amorocho, AlejandroFormal education (both Basic and Vocational average) in the Metropolitan Area of Bucaramanga AMB, is being attended by 434 educational institutions, of which 21% are public and 79% private; 47.5% of these institutions are located in the city of Bucaramanga, while 28.1% are located in Floridablanca; Giron and concentrated Piedecuesta each, 12.2% of schools. Added to this as referrer data is that the number of students in primary and secondary education in the WBA, is 210,808, of which 50.6% are women and 49.4% men. It should take into account the correlation between the number of public and private institutions in the number of students over and serve it in reverse: while 91 public schools covering 68% of the equivalent student demand to 143,499 people, 343 private schools attend 32% (67,309 students). This antipodal relationship, suggests that while the public sector has focused on increasing the coverage to ensure access to education for lower-income populations, the private sector has lined his teaching strategy to meet quality requirements; This finding is confirmed only with a revised classification of schools according place obtained in the tests to know where it is shown that a school ranked first nationally and one reaches the No. 8; both are private and located in the municipality of Floridablanca. Meanwhile, the best public high school located in this ranking, was ranked 381 and second best, was ranked at 583. The growth of the private education sector is based on the prestige of colleges and professorial flat, adequate infrastructure and modern technology, complemented by the quality and warmth offered. Additionally, a key factor in increasing demand is the poor quality of care of public education sector. As discussed in the previous paragraphs, it is vital for the SCHOOL OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY developing a strategic plan that may lead to the institution is maintained and improved positions in student rankings, not to mention the spiritual vocation that characterizes school since the creation.
