In the next degree thesis, the research was carried out with 11th grade students from the Simón Bolívar educational institution, located in the Granada municipality of Buenaventura, in order to develop in them the different skills of computational thinking. This process was managed in response to the lack of analysis and problem solving that occurred in ICFES test results in previous years. The study was based on a work methodology with a mixed approach and the objective for which it was designed was, so that students could develop thinking in JavaScript programming through the STEAM methodology and Scratch activities; To achieve the above, the Pólya method would be applied where the 4 fundamental steps were applied, which are: Understand the problem, configure the plan, Execute the plan and examine the result. In the collection of the initial and final data, a series of questionnaires based on the Bebras tests and the Computational Thinking Test carried out by Dr. Marcos Román were carried out, this to measure the initial state of the students with the final result, after applying the strategy of activities implemented through Scratch. The results that were achieved with this research was a notable change in the students in the process of addressing a problem, gaining confidence when structuring it by applying the different steps of the polya methodology and acquiring a new study method through the different technological resources that are presented in this new digital era.
