The present research is carried out from the analysis of the results of the knowledge tests of the last 5 years in the area of Social Science, specifically in the subject of history, also in the internal tests that are carried out in the Educational Institution Fe y Alegría "Santiago Canabal". Through which it was possible to identify that ninth-grade students have weaknesses in learning the lesson of World War II. For that reason, it is necessary to develop skills of computational thinking that allow the improvement in the learning process of the Second World War, and therefore the results in the external and internal tests that are applied in the school. Given the above, a pre-test is carried out, which allowed the diagnosis of the level of learning of students in the topic Second World War and later, based on an analysis, a pedagogical intervention consisting of four activities sessions in Scratch with STEAM method was designed and executed. Then, pretest was applied with the purpose of analyzing the progress of the students in learning the topic previously mentioned and the development of their computational thinking. From this, it could be concluded that the students improved their learning in the Second World War, while developing the skills of abstraction, algorithms and pattern recognition
