Percepciones de los Profesores Visitantes sobre la Enseñanza Impartida en el Programa de Profesor Visitante de la Universidad de Santander de la Red de Rehabilitadores de las Américas en los Años 2017 a 2019

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo principal identificar las percepciones de los profesores visitantes sobre la enseñanza impartida en las diferentes actividades desarrolladas en el programa de profesor visitante de la Universidad de Santander de la Red de Rehabilitadores de las Américas en los años 2017 a 2019. Introducción: La Red de Rehabilitación de las Américas es un foro abierto para reunir, coordinar, intercambiar, y colaborar, contribuyendo al conocimiento práctico, y al crecer como ciudadanos, encaminada ala rehabilitación basada en la comunidad, en el que se incluye el programa de profesor visitante, en pro del mejoramiento de la actividad asistencial y la calidad de vida de quienes se ven beneficiados. Material y método: Esta investigación se realiza por medio de un estudio cualitativo descriptivo para el correcto análisis de entrevistas aplicadas a la población participante,3 docentes, quienes desempeñan sus cargos en los programas académicos de fonoaudiología, terapia ocupacional y fisioterapia. Resultados: Dentro de los principales hallazgos se puede señalar que las profesoras tienen un punto en común en cuanto a las percepciones sobre discapacidad de las personas de la comunidad, en la que refieren que la población maneja una visión errónea sobre la discapacidad, donde se maneja terminología de “personas especiales”, de las necesidades de intervención en sus correctas áreas y de la limitación para las personas discapacitadas. Otro hallazgo importante que se puede señalar es que, en la categoría de motivación coinciden en que es un proceso necesario para poder entablar empatía con la población y comunidad, proporcionando de esta manera un mejor desarrollo, aprendizaje y participación efectiva dentro del proyecto. También podemos encontrar que sus respuestas se enmarcan en un eje central el cual gira entorno a la necesidad de ir a capacitar y formar a personas que requieren de profesionales idóneos en cuanto a la rehabilitación en las áreas de fonoaudiología, terapia ocupacional y fisioterapia. Conclusión:Al tener de base la investigación realizada se concluye que la percepción del trabajo realizado se resume a la importancia de indagar, reconocer e interpretar todas esas lecciones o expectativas que tienen los docentes acerca de ese proceso que se llevó a cabo en la Red de Rehabilitadores de las Américas para poder llevar algún tipo de educación a poblaciones menos favorecidas para su posterior rehabilitación en la comunidad en general.

The main objective of this work is to identify the perceptions of visiting professors about the teaching given in the different activities developed in the visiting professor program of the University of Santander of the Network of Rehabilitators of the Americas in the years 2017 to 2019.Introduction:The Rehabilitation Network of the Americas, which is an open forum to gather, coordinate, exchange, unite and collaborate, contributing to practical knowledge, and as citizens grow, the training given in it is in favor of the improvement of the assistance activity for the people who need it and their quality of life.Material and method: This research is carried out through a qualitative descriptive study for the correct analysis of interviews applied to the participating population, 3 teachers, who carry out their positions in speech therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy.Results:Among the main findings, it can be pointed out that the teachers have a common point regarding the perceptions of disability of people in the community, in which they refer that they 11handle an erroneous vision of disability, whereterminology of “special people”, of the intervention needs in their correct areas and of the limitation for disabled people. Another important finding that can be pointed out is that the teachers in motivation agree that it is a necessary process to be able to establish empathy with the population and the community, thus providing better development, learning and effective participation within the project. We can also find that their responses are framed in a central axis which revolves around the need to go to train and educate people who are less developed than our community in terms of rehabilitation in the areas of speech therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy.Conclusion:Based on the research carried out, it is concluded that the perception of the work carried out is summarized to the importance of investigating, recognizing and interpreting all those lessons or expectations that teachers have about this process that was carried out in the Network of Rehabilitators of the Americas to be able to bring some type of education to less favored populations for their subsequent rehabilitation in the community in general.
