Trastorno del espectro autista (TEA) se define como un desorden del neuro- desarrollo que implica un severo trastorno en múltiples áreas; este se caracteriza por alteraciones en la interacción social, lenguaje, comunicación, conductas estereotipadas, repetitivas y restrictivas, que se asocian frecuentemente con trastornos del sueño así como patrones de conductas auto-agresivas e irritabilidad. Es por esto que el objetivo de este estudio es evidenciar la relación existente entre el comportamiento motor y los síntomas gastrointestinales en niños con trastorno del espectro autista de la ciudad de Valledupar. Para ello se tomó una muestra de 16 niños. La investigación es tiene un enfoque cuantitativo con diseño no experimental de tipo transversal – analítica descriptiva. Los instrumentos de recolección de datos fueron: Consentimiento informado, formato de evaluación fisioterapéutica y los criterios de roma iv. Se analizaron los datos con el software SPSS 24 para Mac. Se logró evidenciar que durante el año 2012 al 2017 en la ciudad de Valledupar 107 niños fueron diagnosticados con autismo en la niñez y 63 niños con autismo atípico, por lo tanto, la mayor prevalencia en los diagnósticos corresponde a niños con autismo en la niñez. Al estudiar la muestra se llegó a la conclusión de que los resultados fueron nulos debido al bajo número de muestra, lo que significa que la investigación queda disponible para la segunda fase de estudio

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is defined as a neurodevelopmental disorder that involves a severe disorder in multiple areas; This is characterized by alterations in social interaction, language, communication, stereotyped, repetitive and restrictive behaviors, which are frequently associated with sleep disorders as well as patterns of self-aggressive behaviors and irritability. This is why the objective of this study is to demonstrate the relationship between motor behavior and gastrointestinal symptoms in children with autism spectrum disorder in the city of Valledupar. For this, a sample of 16 children was taken. The research is a quantitative approach with a non-experimental design of transversal type - analytical descriptive. The data collection instruments were: Informed consent, physiotherapeutic evaluation format and Rome criteria iv. The data was analyzed with the software SPSS 24 for Mac. It was possible to demonstrate that during the year 2012 to 2017 in the city of Valledupar 107 children were diagnosed with autism in childhood and 63 children with atypical autism, therefore, the highest prevalence in the diagnoses corresponds to children with autism in childhood. When studying the sample, it was concluded that the results were null due to the low sample number, which means that the research is available for the second phase of the study.
