There are several blood systems, among which the most common are the ABO and RH systems, however, there are other systems such as Duffy. This system is of great importance at the transfusion level, since it is implicated in adverse reactions to transfusion. This cross-sectional descriptive study carried out during the second semester of 2020, aimed to identify the phenotypic distribution of the antigens of greater clinical relevance of the Duffy, ABO and Rh blood systems of donors from a blood bank, in the Municipality of Valledupar. As a sample, 91 donors were used who attended the donation days organized by a blood bank of municipality of Valledupar, the samples were analyzed using the tube agglutination technique and gel column microtechnics. Among the results obtained, it was found that 35 donors (19%) Fya positive, 56 (31%) Fya negative, 42 donors (23%) Fyb positive and 49 (27%) Fyb negative. For the ABO blood group, a high percentage was established with group O with 48 (52,7%) people, followed by group B with 18 (19,7%), then group A1 with 14 (15,3%) people, and finally, groups AB with 1(1,1%) person. The most frequent phenotype was Fy (a-b-) with a percentage of 31.9%. On the other hand, the Rh blood group presented a higher percentage with the Rh positive with 87 (95.6%), while the Rh negative was obtained with 4 (4.4%) of the total population studied.
