    Dental caries and quality of life continue to be a topic of great interest since it is one of the most prevalent oral diseases worldwide, with a higher incidence among minors, according to the fourth national oral health study. Different authors have reported that it may be related to different factors, thus affecting the quality of life of an individual. For this reason it has been seen the importance of evaluating dental caries with the quality of life. The objective was to evaluate the quality of life and dental caries in preschoolers aged 3 to 5 years linked to the Instituto Francelena Nava Correa in the city of Cúcuta using the instrument Early Childhood Oral Health Impact Scale (ECOHIS). A cross-sectional, observational study was carried out, in which 60 children aged 3 to 5 years who attended the Instituto Francelena Nava Correa in the city of Cúcuta were evaluated. The clinical examination was carried out to determine the presence of dental caries and Parents and / or caregivers completed the ECOHIS questionnaire. Of the population evaluated, children younger than 4 years had a higher prevalence of carious lesions. It was observed that all the minors presented some type of injury so it was initial. Likewise, according to the ICDAS criterion, the degree of severity that was most present was grade 3, there was no significant data between the impact on the children and the parents on the quality of life in the children.
