- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoPractica de Desempeño IV: La Comunicación Asertiva en el Favorecimiento de la Interacción en el Desempeño Grupal de los Adultos Mayores de Sexo Masculino del Hogar Rudesindo Soto(Universidad de Santander, 2023-06-05) Álvarez-Pérez, María Valentina; Garces-Gonzales, María Fernanda; Gelvez-Bareño, Diana Carolina; Eslava-Piña, Lerma JattinThe following professional practice focused on achieving the identification of the different occupational techniques applied to a specific location, in order to design intervention programs where the performance of the elderly can be favored, evidencing the role of the Occupational Therapist, therefore which took into account the knowledge that was previously acquired throughout the career and the different experiences obtained in the training practices, which gave favorable results, strengthening capacities and values that were evidenced in the exploration phase, regarding the activities and the challenge that was raised to maximize the vital and energetic level that I provide to each one of the people; This generates, in addition to a favorable sense, the opportunity for older adults to participate in leisure and free time activities that develop in the occupation participation of users. Another point of the importance of occupational therapy is evidenced in the development of the exploitation of skills, values and interest, promoting the sense of competence and efficacy, determined that it is linked to the assessment of the emotional well-being of each person. Bearing in mind that many of these certain factors are increased or also linked to the behavior of family members, some of them, feeling isolated from the people they love, can show more discomfort, displeasure, sadness and abandonment, while older adults who have had a fortuitous accompaniment of family members to achieve greater progress by demonstrating positive attitudes that favor the well-being of the patient. Being these points one of the most significant, however, the present work of practice shows structured results referring to occupational therapy.
