The present work was carried out by a student from the University of Santander, Cúcuta campus, of the law program in which the different elements that interact with women of childbearing age were integrated to analyze the current situation of abortion as per decriminalization in the country. Until the 2019 period, the following structure was proposed for the following to analyze the abortion situation in fertile women between 18 and 45 years of age in the municipality of San José de Cúcuta in accordance with the legal changes of the partial decriminalization period 2019. The present investigation is qualitative type, framed in a phenomenological interpretive paradigm, approaching the hermeneutic-dialectic method. The population was the total of women of childbearing age who attended a consultation in a Service Provider Institution in the sexual and reproductive health program, from which a sample of 7 women was chosen as key informants and 1 health professional In order to holistically approach women and their environment, the informants were chosen using the snowball technique and based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the definitive sample was delimited, to subsequently perform a triangulation of the information. Legal ignorance promotes that culture, custom and religious fear encompass the mentality of women who are in the gestational age, within the interpretations and limits we find that conscientious objection has become the most common figure implemented by professionals with religious justifications and the last barrier we find in the great failings of our health system that refutes the orders imposed by courts, tribunals and others when found backed by an obsolete system.
