    Valoración del patrón nutricional en estudiantes de la institución educativa la garita

    Eating habits and nutrition not only affect health in the present, but also determine the risk of contracting chronic food-related diseases in the future. Nutritional alterations are defined as the .relation between food intake and nutrient requirement, which constitutes a global and national 16 health problem finding nutritional alterations, the present study aimed to: determine through nursing assessment the Nutritional alterations in children from 6 to 13 years according to Marjory Gordon's patterns in order to promote strategies that favor healthy eating habits in the La Garita Educational Institution of the playgrounds, Materials and method: Research: field study which allows analyze the relationship of the different variables raised within the project in a given time Study Population: the study population was made up of 150 students from the first grades of primary to eighth of secondary school in the morning of the Educational Institution La Garita of the municipality of the courtyards Inclusion criteria ón: Students belonging to the Educational Institution, who were in the age range between 6 to 13 years, were taken into account for participation in the study, and to have acceptance with the parents' informed consent. Results: Of the 150 students surveyed in the age range of 6 to 13 years of age, 47 (31.33%) presented a nutritional alteration, resulting in 4 (8.5%) presenting severe malnutrition, 6 (12, 7%) moderate malnutrition, 32 (68%) overweight and 5 (10.6%) obesity, being overweight the most prevalent nutritional disorder in students of the Educational Institution La Garita in ages from 6 to 13 years, the Male gender was characterized with greater nutritional alterations.
