    The purpose of the research is to determine the cost of production of cocoa produced on farms linked to the association of cocoa farmers in the municipality of Urumita "ASOCAUR"; Initially, the problem of the association in relation to tree inventories and the determination of the costs associated with the cocoa production process, its delimitation, and justification are described. Like setting the goals. In the second place, it is characterized in a theoretical and referential way by relating antecedents, theoretical bases, and the operability of its variables. Thirdly, the methodology to be followed is established to establish the quantification of the costs associated with the cocoa production process in the farms linked to the association, which is non-experimental, descriptive, and transactional. By last; It establishes the results of the investigation in terms of defining the cost per kilogram of cocoa produced in the associated farms, where the tabulation of the questionnaire and the verification guides prior to visiting the farms that are associated with the organization are shown. The investigation of this economic and social problem arises from the interest of the associated cocoa and administrative management. It has generated a thorough study of the factors involved in the direct and indirect costs of cocoa production such as: labor for the preparation of the land, tools (hoes, machetes and bags), crop support (irrigation, organic fertilizer ), among other factors involved.
