    The growth of the elderly population has led to the need for staff to care for the elderly. Objective: To implement an educational program based on the training needs of caregivers of older adults living in public, private and noninstitutionalized institutions in Bucaramanga and its metropolitan area to improve the care of the elderly. Materials and Methods: it will be developed for the caregivers of the elderly through a forum workshop will apply a series of educational tools that have been previously designed based on the educational needs of the population mentioned, during period B of 2015 and Academic Period A of 2016, respectively. Results: In the trainings it was evident that 85% were Women and 15% men, in the I and II Training 70% of the caregivers have high knowledge about the issues dictated by what they do not Was implemented Pos Saber, in the III Training was an older adult population who care for older adults 58% of these were right in the survey so a Pos Saber was applied after the training and found that 78% of these answered correctly. In the Satisfaction survey, 90% thought the day was good. Conclusions: The realization of the training allowed showing that caregivers can improve their knowledge 90% and that for them it is rewarding care since they can gain experiences to give optimal care.
