    A descriptive field investigation was carried out in which data were collected that allowed to determine the relationship between abiotic factors and the microbial load found in the classrooms of the University of Santander campus Cúcuta. For this, 5 random rooms were selected for each block (B, C and D) and the sample was taken using the plate sedimentation technique exposing boxes with SPC agar and Baird Parker for 15 minutes. After the incubation period, the colony count was performed, and reported as UFC / 65cm2 / 15 minutes for mesophilic aerobes and Staphylococcus aureus. Subsequently, representative colonies of each of the boxes were taken and macroscopic and microscopic characterization of them was performed. For the determination of abiotic factors, variables of temperature, humidity and dust particles were considered.
