    This research project takes as its object of study the main factors related to academic absenteeism, for this we took into account all those academic excuses that were duly completed in the nursing program of the Santander UDES University Bucaramanga. In order to determine what was the predisposing factor of these absences, for this research a pilot test was initially carried out to determine if the different items raised in the survey were clear or it was necessary to make some changes, that is where we took 25 students as a base. Chance of different semesters to perform this test. In the second phase of the research the collaboration of the group of nursing students was required, in which of the 200 students, the voluntary participation of 133 students was obtained, accepting their participation through an informed consent, the other 67 students responded. 'NO' 'in that consent. When performing the analysis of the data, it can be seen that being a problem of great magnitude the factors can become multicausal, however it is possible to demonstrate that said causes are more evidenced with the social and bio-sociological variables, being these factors of academic absenteeism in the nursing program of the University of Santander UDES.

    This research project takes as its main objective the factors related to academic absenteeism, for this, all those academic excuses that were duly completed in the nursing program of the University of Santander UDES Bucaramanga headquarters were taken into account. To be able to determine what the predisposing factor of these absences was and to be able to determine the causes which the students did not attend the classes and the reason why so many absences to class and what semesters they are and what their causes were and thus be able to know for to mitigate this problem that has reduced academic and personal training, for this research initially the database already existing in the nursing program was taken, after this double fingering is performed to subsequently perform the tabulation and the respective graphics of the information . When performing the analysis of the data, it can be seen that as a problem of great magnitude the factors can become multicausal, however, it is possible to demonstrate that these causes are more evidenced with the social and Biosociological variables, being these the main factors of academic absenteeism in the nursing program of the University of Santander UDES.
