- PublicaciónRestringidoFrecuencia de linfocitosis Monoclonal B (lMB) en la circulación sanguínea de adultos sanos mayores de 40 años del Hospital Internacional de Colombia (HIC) Bucaramanga 2019(Cúcuta: Universidad de Santander, 2020., 2020-10-13) Parra Gonzalez, Laura Liseth.; Nieto Perez, Wendy; Contreras Rangel, Jael.Monoclonal B-cell lymphocytosis (MBL) is an asymptomatic condition characterized by the circulation of small clonal populations of B-lymphocytes in the peripheral blood (less than 5x109 / L) and may express an immunophenotype similar to that of chronic lymphoid leukemia. The purpose of this descriptive study is based on the identification of monoclonal B lymphocytosis using the highly sensitive multiparametric flow cytometry technique and the lifestyle habits most frequently observed in individuals with MBL populations. Objective: To determine the frequency of presentation of MBL in adults over 40 years of age in ICH in 2019. Methods: The techniques used were: hematic picture, to rule out any obvious alteration in leukocytes and to know the value in absolute number of the lymphocytes. High sensitivity multiparametric flow cytometry was carried out to evaluate the expression of markers and / or imbalance of lambda / kappa light chain immunoglobulins, indicating the presence of clonality, by means of a lymphocyte subpopulation screening panel (LST). If the presence of LMB populations is observed, the study is extended with labeling of other specific proteins for Chronic Lymphoproliferative Syndrome B (CLSBS). Results: Of the 32 participants in the study, the presence of MBL was demonstrated in three of them, which correspond to a 9% frequency of presentation of MBL, all of them with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) immunophenotype. There was also an incidental finding of an abnormal proliferation of clonal-looking B cells with a phenotype suggestive of mantle cell lymphoma. Conclusions: (9%) of the study population; two of them, male, with an average age between 60-80 years, which confirms that factors such as age, sex, and stress are the most frequently observed in this study population.
