    Necesidades formativas de los programas de enfermería de Colombia

    This research came out of the need for programs of nursing in Colombia to train competent personnel in the different areas of occupational health, with educational tools needed to respond to the different situations that arise in the work of nursing and in this way to be able to provide a high-quality care to the individual, family and community; it is therefore necessary that the student receives an education during their academic training based on scientific knowledge, empirical, humanistic and legislative. Methodology: this was a study of study of narrative review of literature, which consulted the databases of the magazine Scielo, magazine Universidad de la Sabana, magazine Cuidarte, magazine Colombiana de Nursing, Ibero-American Journal of Education and Research in Nursing, employment exchange Santander-Sena, computrabajo, web pages of the Colombian state and health institutions, since the year 2000 to the month of October 2016, which included 15 studies and information of gray literature. Results: were based on the training needs of nursing programs identified at the national and international level, as well as in occupational profiles and competencies identified in institutional manuals of health institutions in Colombia and job offers for nurses. Conclusions: It was possible to identify the training needs in nursing demanded by employers and universities in Colombia that are necessary to train professionals of holistic nursing.
