    Wildlife occupies a very important place in the dynamics of its ecosystems, being responsible for, among other things, the dissemination of seeds, pollination and control of invasive species or pests. In recent years, there has been evidence of an increase in the illegal trafficking of wild species, which mobilizes large sums of money, and is the main cause of the decrease in natural populations such as macaw, yellow-fronted parrots, blue-fronted parrots, real parakeets, common parakeets, morrocoy turtle, water turtle, toucans, white-faced monkeys, tigrillos, among others).Some of the species given voluntarily or seized by the Environmental Police cannot be rehabilitated, therefore, the final disposition of the specimen is handled and, one of the options contemplated by Law 1333 of 2009 Article 52 is Responsible Tenure. Different booklets, brochures and protocols on identification, rehabilitation, conservation, control and care of wildlife, are not addressed to authorized holders. Likewise, at the time of accompanying the technical visits, the shortcomings and doubts that the users had regarding diets, environmental enrichment and regular conduct during the tenure process were evidenced. For this reason, the objective of this work is to prepare an Information Booklet on the care of wildlife given in Responsible Tenure, as a means of public disclosure of Animal Welfare Standards, in order to benefit the community by informing them about the optimal management of wildlife, ensuring that those that are delivered to authorized holders have an adequate quality of life.
