    The processes of intervention by occupational therapy have generated great impact and recognition by the different areas in which it has had an approach highlighting the work of the professional. Whenever the occupational therapist executes an intervention, he does it in a proactive manner, which means that he is guided towards an objective, and selected and analyzed based on his knowledge, taking into account that it is meaningful to the user, which implies a motivation towards its realization. Based on the aforementioned, the following work corresponds to the practice of occupational performance IV, which was carried out in the Educational Institution Monseñor Jaime Prieto Amaya, focused on the psychosocial area with schoolchildren in grades four and five of elementary school , consists of two programs; the first of them aimed at promoting interpersonal emotional intelligence, favoring social competences for school coexistence, addressing a population of 240 students, carrying out assessment processes and interventions aimed at promoting empathy, collaborative work and assertive cooperation among peers.
