    The initial focus of the research is the creation of strategies at Polinort S.A.S. supported by practices associated with green logistics, finding sustainable solutions for supply chain activities that allow it to generate both economic and environmental benefits and competitive advantages. The research project will be carried out through a current analysis of the company and its processes, to then formulate a model that allows its evaluation taking into account its critical areas and the problems that are being presented. The origin of the research comes from the behavior in the dynamics of organizations in recent years, which has been focusing on achieving superior performance and a sustainable competitive advantage due to various factors such as globalization, which has expanded the scope of operation, but also of rivalry between the sectors and the markets of the countries (Montoya, Montoya, & Castellanos, 2010) and the existence of a growing interest in relations between the company and the environment. (Álvarez Gil, Burgos Jiménez, & Céspedes Lorente, 2001). In the most recent data according to reports from the last World Economic Forum, the logistics industry is identified as responsible for causing approximately 6 percent of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide, contributing to the poisoning of the entire world. This represents the transport of goods from one country to another and even within the same region. Today, Colombian companies that apply environmentally friendly logistics measures do so on their own initiative, which shows an incipient concern. Based on the above, if you want to have green logistics, you do not only have to focus on transportation.
