    Validez de contenido de la escala de barreras para la rehabilitación cardíaca

    Introducción: La ausencia de instrumentos con adecuadas propiedades psicométricas adaptados para Colombia, que evalúen las barreras de acceso a los programas de rehabilitación cardiovascular justifica esta investigación. Objetivo: Determinar la validez de contenido de la Escala de Barreras para la Rehabilitación Cardiaca en población colombiana. Métodos y materiales: Se realizó un estudio de pruebas diagnósticas. En la primera fase se requiririeron dos traductores de lengua materna español y uno de lengua materna inglesa para la traducción y retrotraducción del cuestionario original. En la segunda fase se realizó la adaptación transcultural y se evaluó la validez de contenido mediante un panel de cuatro expertos con experiencia en investigación, medicina deportiva y rehabilitación cardiaca. Resultados: El instrumento fue traducido y adaptado al español colombiano. El panel de expertos decidió eliminar el ítem 18 de la escala original. El índice de validez de contenido fue aceptable para la mayoría de los ítems, excepto para los ítems 10, 15 y 18, por lo cual se realizaron modificaciones en palabras, frases o conjugaciones verbales según las recomendaciones del panel. Por otra parte, el Indice de Validez de Contenido en relevancia fue de 0,86 y en pertinencia de 0,88. Conclusión: Se cuenta con un instrumento que evalúa barreras de acceso a los programas de rehabilitación cardiovascular adaptada a población colombiana y con validez de contenido, por lo cual los resultados que se obtengan de la aplicación de la escala serán válidos. No obstante, se sugiere continuar con la evaluación de la reproducibilidad del instrumento.

    Validez y reproducibilidad de la escala Alfa en escolares de Bucaramanga, Colombia

    Language is mankind’s most used system as means of expression. To evaluate language development some standardized tests are required, but many of those are from foreign countries and must be validated; therefore, there is an interest in evaluate diagnostic features of Alfa scale in Colombian population. It was made an evaluation study on diagnostic technologies with transversal sampling, on 77 students ages 3 to 17 from randomly chosen schools. The inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected according to guidelines for the application of the scale. To develop this study, informed consent was obtained from the students’ parents. A descriptive analysis, criteria validation and reproducibility among Alpha scale methods with regards to the application of a linguistic evaluation protocol are shown. In this work, Alfa scale showed sensitivity up to 31.8% and specificity up to 57.9%. The reproducibility between the scale and the speech language evaluation for verbal expression presented a kappa of 0.36 (CI 95% 0.18 – 0.54). As a conclusion, Alfa scale’s diagnostic features in studied sample didn’t show a good performance. It is necessary to develop adaptations in vocabulary and syntactic structures to carry out the test in Colombia.

    Valores en los estudiantes de enfermería de la Universidad de Santander

    This investigation was made to validate J. L. Valdez’s values instrument, “Ethical Values in Mexican Adolescents”. At the same time, we tried to describe the values of the nursery students of Universidad de Santander. This was a correlational methodological study, made in three different stages: the first one was the documental and conceptual revision on ethics and values; the second one, determined the validity y trustability of J. L. Valdez’s instrument; and on the third stage, the instrument was applied on the selected sample. The population and sample consisted on the students of the Nursing Program in Universidad de Santander. The results showed that there are different approaches and theoretical stances on the subject of values. Facial validity obtained a 100% acceptability; Content, obtained a general rate of 0.62 for pertinency and relevance (according to two of the experts); Construct, reached the four factors defined by J. L. Valdez’s theory: Affiliative, Religious, Personal Development and Normative Social; internal consistency was 0.88. The value for obedience was statisticallysignificative among first semesters students. As for genre, females received higher scores for God and Spirituality values. It is concluded that, despite the cultural differences, some values prevail without regard to this distinction, that is how the female population gave more importance to the ethical-moral factor. On the other hand, the test made on J.L. Valdez’s values instrument recommend its use on future investigations on this matter. According to the discussion held with the experts and the obtained data, ethical values present in nursery students of this educational institute are Obedience and Truth.
