    Caracterización del impacto del indicador Giro Cama en la Calidad de las Entidades del Sector Salud en Latinoamérica

    El término calidad está en auge en el área de la salud, Donabedian fue el primero en proponer que los métodos para evaluar la calidad de la atención médica se pueden aplicar a tres elementos básicos del sistema: la estructura, el proceso y los resultados, de ahí que inicio medición de calidad con indicadores. La relación entre calidad y eficiencia ha sido un desafío para los sistemas de salud en su lucha por optimizar los recursos. En los hospitales, la cama es el recurso central que forma la base de su estructura y concepto. Muchas de las medidas globales de eficiencia hospitalaria se basan en el uso de este recurso. Para hacer de este recurso un indicador eficiente, es necesario saber cómo influyen los procesos de calidad y cuáles son sus principales variables. Esta información es útil para los administradores de las instituciones de salud, las autoridades de salud y para todos aquellos involucrados en la mejora y la calidad del sector de la salud. En esta monografía, se realizó una revisión de la literatura científica y datos estadísticos para identificar, clasificar y comparar las variables que influyen en el indicador de giro cama con respecto a la calidad de la salud. También compare datos de Colombia con respecto a otros países latinoamericanos. Se identificaron siete variables: estructura y capacidad instalada de las instituciones, recursos tecnológicos, condiciones sociodemográficas, estancia hospitalaria prolongada, saturación en servicios de emergencia, eficiencia hospitalaria, indicadores de desempeño y red de atención y transferencia del paciente a otros servicios.

    The objective of this article is to establish the perception that users have of the physical accessibility of health services, by reviewing articles that have been developed on the subject, analyzing the results and the orientation of said studies and works. For the development of the review article, a broad exploration is carried out, structured through the following stages: definition of the topic, preparation of a work plan, bibliographic search, selection and access to the documents, analysis of the documents, and synthesis of the information and writing of the review article. In the article, three fundamental themes are presented and analyzed: physical accessibility in the studies on users' perception of the quality of health, physical accessibility and physical accessibility of patients with disabilities and their analysis established that there is difficulty in measuring the perception of users regarding physical accessibility to hospital centers, taking into account the criteria and regulations in this regard, that physical accessibility assimilates geographic accessibility in several studies; that the population of disabled face physical access barriers, generated by the lack of public and architectural spaces developed both outside and inside the health facility, which allow easy access and mobility for all types of patients included said population Finally, the review of the articles allows us to see the need to improve the physical accessibility of health institutions, to comply with the regulations in this regard and to carry out studies that confer the real importance of said accessibility to provide all the different nuclei of population of the elements, means and works that facilitate their easy internal and external access to health institutions
