Se entiende que el objetivo de una empresa es el logro y resultados de las metas previstas, con el fin de obtener rentabilidad, por ende, es de suma importancia el buen manejo y administración de estos, para que la empresa cuente con una buena administración financiera. En el proyecto de investigación realizado determinó la importancia de conocer el comportamiento del capital de trabajo y su influencia en los procesos realizados por el área financiera, de la institución, por tal motivo se tomó en cuenta como objetivo general el analizar el comportamiento del capital de trabajo de IPS en un periodo de tiempo determinado donde se realizó un análisis financiero detallado de las variaciones presentadas en el 2019-2020 teniendo como base el estado de la situación financiera de la empresa y punto focal el balance y el flujo de efectivo, utilizando como instrumento de análisis los indicadores financieros el cual reflejaron el mal manejo administrativo y financiero con respecto a las directrices impartidas en la empresa, ya que no poseen políticas de cobro y de cartera definidas, el cual ha obteniendo como consecuencia demoras en la rotación de las carteras y alta rotación en pago a proveedores. En conclusión, la empresa está en una situación donde sus activos corrientes han superado exponencialmente sus pasivos corrientes y si no se le da un tratamiento oportuno a un futuro no muy lejano la empresa podría enfrentar problemas de liquidez, por tal motivo se le recomienda a la IPS hacer la toma de decisiones financieras pertinentes, y la aplicación de correctivos correspondientes a las situaciones anteriormente enunciadas.

It is understood that the objective of a company is the achievement and results of the planned goals, in order to obtain profitability, therefore, it is of utmost importance the good management and administration of these, so that the company has a good financial management. The research project determined the importance of knowing the behavior of the working capital and its influence on the processes carried out by the financial area of the institution, for this reason it was taken into account as a general objective to analyze the behavior of the working capital of IPS in a given period of time where a detailed financial analysis of the variations presented in 2019-2020 was made based on the state of the financial situation of the company and focal point the balance sheet and cash flow, using as an instrument of analysis the financial indicators which reflected the poor administrative and financial management with respect to the guidelines given in the company, since they do not have defined collection and portfolio policies, which has resulted in delays in the turnover of portfolios and high turnover in payment to suppliers. In conclusion, the company is in a situation where its current assets have exponentially exceeded its current liabilities and if it is not given a timely treatment in the not too distant future the company could face liquidity problems, for this reason it is recommended to the IPS to make the appropriate financial decisions, and the application of corrective measures corresponding to the situations previously mentioned.
