El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como principal objetivo, fortalecer las habilidades investigativas a través un objeto virtual de aprendizaje, como estrategia didáctica de la asignatura química en los estudiantes de 8° de la Institución Educativa Buenos Aires San Pelayo. Este ejercicio se realizó, en respuesta a diversas problemáticas que se han venido observando en la institución educativa; en primer lugar, se encuentran los bajos resultados en las pruebas saber, en las que año tras año, los estudiantes vienen mostrando un preocupante decrecimiento en sus niveles académicos frente a pruebas nacionales. En segundo lugar, existen la preocupación por parte de los diferentes integrantes de la comunidad educativa frente a lo descrito y el bajo rendimiento que los estudiantes están manifestando en cada una de las asignaturas. Se pretende, que a través de un objeto virtual de aprendizaje (OVA) “Habilidades investigativas”, alojado en la plataforma Moodle y creada con el software libre Ardora 8, fortalecer en los estudiantes, las diferentes habilidades científicas, que hoy en día son tan necesarias tener, para el buen desarrollo de las competencias establecidas en las diferentes áreas del conocimiento. Este estudio se enmarca dentro de un enfoque cuantitativo, por medio de procesos de recolección y análisis de la información, es decir, a través de medición numérica y datos estadísticos, se podrá comprobar medir mediante diferentes instrumentos, de recolección de la información, como son las encuestas, observación sistemática, cuestionario y Test. Todo lo anterior favoreció en muchos aspectos, en especial, para que se emitieran conclusiones que ayuden a definir la eficacia o deficiencia del OVA en cuanto a seguir utilizando o cambiarlo o tal vez mejorarlo

The main objective of this research work is to strengthen investigative skills through a virtual learning object, as a didactic strategy of the chemical subject in 8th grade students of the Buenos Aires San Pelayo Educational Institution. This was done by several factors that have influenced the search for this knowledge; In the first place, there are the low results in the knowledge tests and also the concern on the part of the different members of the educational community. It is intended that through a virtual learning object (OVA) "Investigative skills", hosted on the Moodle platform and created with the free software Ardora 8, strengthen in students the different scientific skills, which today are so necessary to have, for the proper development of the skills established in the different areas of knowledge. This study is framed within a quantitative approach, through information collection and analysis processes, that is, through numerical measurement and statistical data, it can be verified to measure using different instruments, information collection, such as surveys, systematic observation, questionnaire and Test. All of the above favored in many aspects, especially, for the issuance of conclusions that help define the efficacy or deficiency of the OVA in terms of continuing to use or change it or perhaps improve it.
