Tuberculosis continues to be a health problem both globally and in Colombia. According to the report issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2017, it is estimated that TB is the ninth worldwide cause of death and the first due to infectious diseases, above HIV / AIDS. In Colombia, it has been shown that there are many barriers that have contributed to the reduction of the possibilities of making a diagnosis and timely treatment; conditions that must necessarily be present to achieve an effective control of the disease. Therefore, the objective of the present study is to identify the different barriers that appear in a patient diagnosed with tuberculosis during treatment in Colombia in the years 2007 to 2017. It corresponds to a systematic review of the literature on the different barriers found in a patient diagnosed with tuberculosis during their treatment in bibliographic databases of national and international importance. The sample consists of 30 original articles, review, and reflection that mention the different barriers that occur in a patient diagnosed with tuberculosis in Colombia between the years 2007 to 2017. The results of the study show that to achieve a strong impact on the control and eradication of tuberculosis, aspects such as the academy and the teaching-learning process of public health and its technical and administrative aspects must be strengthened, as well as encouraging the promotion of healthy lifestyles with actions aimed at the active search for respiratory symptoms, a checklist is designed to perform the patient immediately be diagnosed with the pathology to detect possible barriers and intervene to enable the patient to comply with the treatment.

La Tuberculosis continúa siendo un problema de salud tanto a nivel mundial como también en Colombia. Según el reporte emitido por la Organización Mundial de la salud (OMS) en el año 2017, se estima que la TB es la novena causa mundial de muerte y la primera por enfermedades infecciosas, por encima del VIH/SIDA. En Colombia, se ha evidenciado que son muchas las barreras que han contribuido a la disminución de las posibilidades de realizar un diagnóstico y tratamiento oportuno; condiciones que necesariamente deben estar presentes para lograr un efectivo control de la enfermedad. Por tanto, el objetivo del presente estudio es identificar las diferentes barreras que se presenten en un paciente con diagnóstico de tuberculosis durante el tratamiento en Colombia en los años 2007 a 2017. Corresponde a una revisión sistemática de literatura sobre las diferentes barreras encontradas en paciente con diagnóstico de tuberculosis durante su tratamiento en bases de datos bibliográficas de importancia nacional e internacional. La muestra se compone de 30 artículos originales, de revisión, y de reflexión que mencionan las diferentes barreras que se presentan en un paciente con diagnóstico de tuberculosis en Colombia entre los años 2007 a 2017. Los resultados del estudio evidencian que para lograr un fuerte impacto en el control y erradicación de la tuberculosis se debe fortalecer aspectos como la academia y el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la salud pública y de sus aspectos técnicos y administrativa así como incentivar la promoción de estilos de vida saludables con acciones encaminadas en la búsqueda activa de sintomáticos respiratorios, se diseña una lista de chequeo para realizar al paciente inmediatamente sea diagnosticado con la patología para lograr detectar las posibles barreras y poderlas intervenir para que el paciente cumpla con el tratamiento.
