El proyecto titulado “Necesidades percibidas de salud mental y la respuesta en salud organizada hacia los migrantes en el curso de vida de adolescencia de los 12 a los 17 años en el municipio de Valledupar,” fue realizado como requisito para optar el título de grado de la maestría en salud pública, cuyo objetivo era describir las necesidades percibidas de salud mental y la respuesta en salud hacia la población migrante del curso de vida adolescencia de los 12 a 17 años del municipio de Valledupar. Esta investigación fue sustentada con los enfoques cualitativo, cuantitativo y mixto con los que se logró profundidad de la información que busco responder a un problema desde un diseño concurrente y secuencial que permitió identificar y analizar las necesidades de la población migrante venezolana localizada en el Municipio de Valledupar que durante su permanencia encontraron barreras para acceder a la prestación de los servicios de salud y de salud mental; el producto de lo anterior fue entregado a tomadores de decisiones en las instituciones prestadoras de servicios de salud, para que pudieran modificar los procesos de los servicios que ofertan y fortalecer la atención que se le brinda al migrante; Así mismo se identificó que los niños y niñas aún presentan ciertos sentimientos de afectación que constituyen un duelo por el abandono o migración de su país natal. Lo que facilito concienciar sobre la importancia de preservar la salud mental de esta población a través de la estrategia de Atención Primaria en Salud que garantiza una atención integral y de calidad desde la promoción y prevención en su hábitat o entorno, reconociendo que esta morbilidad, tiene un alto impacto en la estabilidad e inteligencia emocional del adolescente debido a que ellos viven experiencias que no pueden pasar desapercibidas ya que afectan directamente su integridad.

The project entitled "Perceived mental health needs and the organized health response towards migrants in the adolescent life course from 12 to 17 years in the municipality of Valledupar," was carried out as a requirement to obtain the degree of master's in public health, whose objective was to describe the perceived mental health needs and the health response towards the migrant population of the adolescence life course from 12 to 17 years of age in the municipality of Valledupar. This research was supported by qualitative, quantitative and mixed approaches with which it was possible to obtain in-depth information that sought to respond to a problem from a concurrent and sequential design that allowed to identify and analyze the needs of the Venezuelan migrant population located in the Municipality of Valledupar who during their stay found barriers to access the provision of health and mental health services; The product of the above was delivered to decision makers in health service providers, so that they could modify the processes of the services they offer and strengthen the care provided to migrants; Likewise, it was identified that children still have certain feelings of affectation that constitute grief for the abandonment or migration from their native country. This facilitated raising awareness about the importance of preserving the mental health of this population through the Primary Health Care strategy that guarantees comprehensive and quality care from promotion and prevention in their habitat or environment, recognizing that this morbidity has a high impact on the emotional stability and intelligence of adolescents because they live experiences that cannot go unnoticed as they directly affect their integrity.
