The present investigation was related to the knowledge and behaviors against HIV Aids in the students of the Faculty of Industrial Engineering of the University of Santander - UDES in the city of San José de Cúcuta where a primary information instrument could be applied that was surveyed Previously valid and obtained information related to the sociodemographic profile where it stands out that it is a young population, both genders, single marital status in almost all. In terms of knowledge, it was evidenced that there is adequate and basic management related to the subject of study, although it was also possible to analyze that there are some discriminatory taboos that is a predominant disease in homosexual and lesbian people and that there are other kinds of infections that are Can avoid such as caresses, kissing, being close to them. In the area of behavior it was possible to analyze that many of them do not have stable partners and do not like to use preventive measures like the use of the condom and to be examined periodically to have clarity of their state of health.

La presente investigación estuvo relacionada con los conocimientos y comportamientos frente al VIH Sida en los estudiantes de la facultad de Ingeniería Industrial de la Universidad de Santander – UDES en la ciudad de San José de Cúcuta donde se pudo aplicar un instrumento de información primaria que fue encuesta previamente validad y se obtuvo información relacionada con el perfil sociodemográfica donde se destaca que es una población joven, de ambos géneros, de estado civil solteros en casi la totalidad. En cuanto a conocimiento se evidenció que existe un manejo adecuado y básico relacionado con el tema objeto de estudio, aunque también se pudo analizar que existen algunos tabúes discriminatorios que es una enfermedad predominante en personas homosexuales y lesbiana y que existen otras clases de infecciones que se puede evitar como son las caricias, los besos, estar cerca de ellos. En el área de comportamiento se pudo analizar que muchos de ellos no cuentan con parejas estables y no le gusta utilizar medidas preventivas como la utilización del condón y hacerse exámenes de manera periódica para tener claridad de su estado de salud.
