La presente investigación busca implementar la propuesta pedagógica mediante el diseño e interacción de la aplicación móvil “HAWGEO INVENTOR”, diseñada mediante la aplicación App Inventor para fortalecer la ubicación geoespacial en los estudiantes de grado sexto de la IE San José del municipio de Betulia Antioquia. Con la implementación de TICs en el aula, se fortalecen las competencias de ubicación geográfica, implementando herramientas tecnológicas, que permiten navegar e interactuar con el conocimiento, desarrollando habilidades en el manejo de aplicaciones móviles. El desarrollo de esta aplicación móvil se incorpora al proceso de enseñanza - aprendizaje, para transformar procesos educativos tradicionales, y convertirlos en clases innovadoras, para evitar la reprobación y futura deserción por pérdidas académicas que se presenta en la institución. Objetivos específicos: identificar mediante instrumentos diagnósticos, las principales debilidades en la temática sobre la ubicación geográfica; diseñar una estrategia pedagógica apoyada con aplicaciones móviles para fortalecer el desarrollo del pensamiento geográfico; implementar estrategia pedagógica apoyada de aplicaciones móviles para desarrollar la asignatura de geografía; evaluar la aplicación de la estrategia pedagógica mediante la aplicación de métodos formales de validación. El diseño metodológico está enmarcado mediante tipo de investigación enfoque cualitativo de tipo descriptivo, que permitió recoger información a través de diagnóstico planteado mediante cuestionario en Forms App, el resultado fue un bajo nivel académico en el desarrollo de las competencias geográficas, ubicación geo-espacial. · Se concluye que la implementación de la app “HAWGEO INVENTOR”, dinamiza las clases, y permite que los estudiantes formen parte activa de su aprendizaje, manteniendo motivación e interés frente a los conocimientos adquiridos.

The present research seeks to implement the pedagogical proposal through the design and interaction of the mobile application "HAWGEO INVENTOR", designed through the App Inventor application to strengthen the geospatial location in the sixth grade students of the IE San José of the municipality of Betulia Antioquia. With the implementation of ICTs in the classroom, geographical location competencies are strengthened, implementing technological tools, which allow navigating and interacting with knowledge, developing skills in the management of mobile applications. The development of this mobile application is incorporated into the teaching-learning process, to transform traditional educational processes, and turn them into innovative classes, to avoid the failure and future dropout due to academic losses that occur in the institution. Specific objectives: to identify, through diagnostic instruments, the main weaknesses in the topic of geographical location; to design a pedagogical strategy supported by mobile applications to strengthen the development of geographical thinking; to implement a pedagogical strategy supported by mobile applications to develop the subject of geography; to evaluate the application of the pedagogical strategy through the application of formal validation methods. The methodological design is framed by type of research qualitative approach of descriptive type, which allowed to collect information through diagnosis posed by questionnaire in Forms App, the result was a low academic level in the development of geographical competencies, geo-spatial location. It is concluded that the implementation of the app "HAWGEO INVENTOR", dynamizes the classes, and allows students to be an active part of their learning, maintaining motivation and interest in the face of the acquired knowledge.
