Semester to semester there are many pieces that the student of Surgical Instruments must memorize and recognize in the procedures that they face in the practices, however those specialties that do not enter very often could forget the name and use of the instruments, causing possible delays and discomfort in the surgical team. Objective: This project is developed in order to develop an application that allows students of surgical instrumentation to recognize, differentiate and memorize the different instruments that are used in the specialty of otolaryngology. Methods: The present study is of descriptive quantitative character, which consists of the deduction and analysis of variables, associating quantifiable parameters whose objective is to analyze a theory. For this, a knowledge test will be implemented to 38 students of VI and VII semester of surgical instrumentation of the University of Santander on the instruments of the otorhinolaryngology specialty. Results: At the end of the project and analyzing the data found in the surveys carried out, it is evident that a greater focus is needed on the significant learning of the surgical instruments of the otorhinolaryngology specialty. After the implementation of the application the percentage of people who did not know the name and function decreased and the percentage of people who knew increased by 16.5%, which can be inferred that although there was an improvement in recognition and identification of the function of the basic instruments of the otolaryngology specialty.

Semestre a semestre son numerosas las piezas que el estudiante de Instrumentación Quirúrgica debe memorizar y reconocer en los procedimientos a los que se enfrentan en las prácticas, sin embargo, aquellas especialidades a los que no entra con mucha frecuencia podría llegar a olvidar el nombre y uso de los instrumentos, ocasionando posibles demoras y malestar en el equipo quirúrgico. Objetivo: Este proyecto se desarrolla con el fin de elaborar una aplicación que permita a los estudiantes de instrumentación quirúrgica el reconocer, diferenciar y memorizar los diferentes instrumentos que se utilizan en la especialidad de otorrinolaringología. Métodos: El presente estudio es de carácter cuantitativo descriptivo, el cual consiste en la deducción y análisis de variables, asociando parámetros cuantificables cuyo objetivo es analizar una teoría. Para esto se implementará un test de conocimientos a 38 estudiantes de VI y VII semestre de instrumentación quirúrgica de la Universidad de Santander sobre el instrumental de la especialidad de otorrinolaringología. Resultados: Al finalizar el proyecto y analizando los datos encontrados en las encuestas realizadas se evidencia que es necesario un mayor enfoque en el aprendizaje significativo del instrumental quirúrgico de la especialidad de otorrinolaringología. Luego de la implementación de la aplicación el porcentaje de las personas que no sabían el nombre y función disminuyó y el porcentaje de las personas que sabían aumentó en un 16,5%, con lo que se puede inferir que, aunque hubo una mejoría en el reconocimiento e identificación de la función del instrumental básico de la especialidad de otorrinolaringología.
